HCG Diet Protocol

The HCG diet protocol remains the same whether you use the drops or injections.  The HCG diet protocol calls for a strict 500 calorie diet that must be followed in order to get the results of one to two pounds per week.  There are many different recipes that can be made to fit in with the HCG diet protocol.  It is important to get all the vitamins and nutrients in with these 500 calories.

Importance of using HCG Drops or Injections

Because the 500 calorie diet is so low and could put your body into starvation mode, it is absolutely critical that you take the injections or drops.  HCG will actually draw from your abnormal fat and nourish your body with these calories.  This is why your body does not go into starvation mode.  HCG drops will also help curb your hunger, making it easier to maintain the 500 calorie diet.  If you do not use the drops or injections, your body will rob from your muscles first and then your normal fat. It won’t even touch your abnormal fat if you don’t use the HCG.

HCG Diet Protocol – the Original Diet

The original HCG diet protocol was developed by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons.  It can be found in his book titled, “Pounds & Inches.”   Here is the HCG diet protocol that was originally designed by Dr. Simeons.  It is broken up into a meat and vegan diet.

HCG Diet Protocol with Meat

Breakfast

Tea or coffee (as much as you want without sugar) with one tablespoon of milk allowed in 24 hour (Saccharin or Stevia permitted).

  • 100 grams veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp

  • One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast

Remove all visible fat before you cook.  When you weigh the meat, it must be raw.  Boil or grill without the extra fat.  You cannot eat:

  • Tuna
  • Herring
  • Dried or pickled fish

Dinner

Eat the same as the lunch menu.  Simply choose different meat, vegetables, or fruit for variation.

HCG Diet Protocol – Vegan

  • One serving of Ezekiel break or ½ cup cooked quinoa or 2 grams of raw brown rice protein powder (ONLY ONE)
  • One vegetable – Same as above choices
  • Apple or orange or handful of strawberries or ½ grapefruit

HCG Diet Protocol – Notes

You may also include the juice of one lemon daily.  It is okay to use salt, mustard powder, vinegar, pepper, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram and garlic.  However, you need to stay away from oil, butter, and dressing.

You can drink tea, coffee, plain or mineral water in any quantity.   It is recommended that you drink a minimum of 2 liters of these fluids on a daily basis.  If you are concerned that this will make you retain water, don’t be.  Your body is more inclined to store water when it feels like it is dehydrated and has not been given the right amount of fluid.

If you prefer, you can eat the fruit or breadstick in between meals as long as you do not go over the amount of food you are supposed to eat in a day’s time. While the original HCG diet protocol calls for no other variations, there have been many new HCG diet recipes that will help you create meals based on the basics of the original HCG diet protocol.
